Trampoline park vs indoor play centre parties: what's included

Updated October 4, 2026

Trampoline parks and indoor play centres (soft play) are two of the most common choices for a venue birthday party. They suit different ages and run parties differently. The comparison below uses what 95 trampoline parks and 267 indoor play centres in our directory publish on their own websites, checked up to October 4, 2026.

What a trampoline park party usually involves

Packages are typically built around a block of jump time followed by time in a party room or at a reserved table. Party pages commonly list some mix of:

Best for: roughly 5 and up, active kids, and mixed-age groups of older children. Younger children may be limited to toddler zones or times.

What an indoor play centre party usually involves

Best for: toddlers to around 8, smaller groups, and families who want a contained space where children can't wander off.

Worked example

Say you're inviting 10 children. Trampoline parks in our list don't publish enough per-child prices yet for a fair median, so ask two or three for quotes. At the median play-centre price of $13.00 per child it is $129.95. Then add socks, food upgrades, adult entry and tax where they apply.

How to choose

  1. Start with the birthday child's age and the youngest guest's age. Check each venue's minimum age and any height rules.
  2. Decide whether you want a private room. It matters more for younger groups.
  3. Compare what's in the "from" price, not just the number.
  4. Use our venue question list when you call.
